Sam Moon is back to celebrate another 75th birthday bash, calling it “Both Sides of the Moon.” This special event will showcase two very different sides of Sam, taking you on a musical journey like no other. And with his recent three sold-out shows at The Carleton – plus two more added in May that sold out instantly – you know this is a night you don’t want to miss!
A Two-Act Show Like No Other
Act One: Stories & Songs
Get ready for an intimate, listening-set experience as Sam takes you back to where it all began. Sharing tales from his early days in the East Coast music scene, he’ll guide you through the years with songs that shaped his career, bringing history to life through music. This set will be something truly special – a rare chance to hear Sam in storyteller mode.
Act Two: The Muumuu Comes Out & The Party Begins!
Once the legendary muumuu makes its appearance, you know it’s on! Sam and his incredible band – Doug MacKay (percussion), Jimmy Ralph (vocals & piano), Dave MacKeigan (vocals & guitar), Andrew Lambert (bass), and, obviously, Sam Moon – will take you on a wild ride through the decades, rocking you from the ‘70s to today with high-energy classics and crowd favourites.
